Lake Losvido is located in the Gorodok district, Vitebsk region, in 7 km on south of the Gorodok. In to the lake empties river Chernitsa and four stream, one stream flows into the lake Tsyganovo.
The area of the lake is 11,42 km2, its maximum depth - 20,2 m., length - 7,08 km., and the maximum width is 4,88 km.. Shore of the lake is indented by three large bays. In the north-west is separated by shoal Small Losvido. This watershed is called «the path of Napoleon». The shores of the lake are high and steep, in the west and north-west - flat, on the western shores are forested. The bottom is mostly sandy lake, on the north and east - sand and pebbles, in some places there are boulders and deeper - sapropel.
The rugged coastline and its great length was allowed to roam to lovers of fishing. In the lake is a large number of species of fish: bream, perch, tench, rudd, ruff, carp, pike and other.
