Our Grunwald Festival at the Dudutki Museum

On this day, the museum hosts the International Festival of Medieval Culture and Music «Our Grunwald 2017», dedicated to the military and secular culture of our ancestors, with spectacular battles and tournaments!

One of the most famous museums in Belarus Dudutki in this year is taking place the International Festival of Medieval Culture and Music «Our Grunwald 2017» - already 9th since the first day! All the festival will also introduce visitors to the traditions and culture of our ancestors, will surprise and please with mass theatrical reconstruction of battles!

In the festival program:

• The Battle of Yards - a battle of knight detachments in the number of up to 10 people, lasts until the last standing on the legs, will be accompanied by the release of the herald, the appropriate ceremonial.
• Equestrian tournament - horsemen dressed in armor of the XIII-XIV centuries will demonstrate the skill of horse fighting, possession of a spear, sword. The apogee of the performance is tournament horse bumps, in which two knights direct their horses to each other, trying to knock the opponent out of the saddle with a long javelin at full gallop.
• Mass battles of knights, bougurts - on the court there is a demonstration of a real medieval battle. Within the framework of the bougurts there are battles: «capture of the banner», in which one of the detachments must seize the banner of opponents and not lose their own, «battle on the bridge» - each of the detachments must move to the opposite side of the narrow bridge, «storming the gates», one of the detachments Protects the gate «Castle», the other must break through.
